I’m cruising in the back of an uber perusing tweets
My screen is like a window to the life i used to lead
And my window’s like a streamer, the view is elusive dream

I used to be able to sleep through crickets chirping
Now i drift away to hubbubs spreading sermons on my curtains
And i’m pretty certain my apartment smells a bit like urine
It was disconcerting but i’m getting used to living urban
I’m traversing in and out of baffling and not just scaffolding

These people clumped together when i want them to be scattering
And bouncing off of me like liquid atoms when i’m travelling
Imaging their honking horns amid the sounds of instruments and marching bands to celebrate my entrance
Cause f#ck my insignificance
I’ll quit trippin and ditching sh#t
I didn’t move to the city to abandon what my mission is
