Talking to myself even makes me look blatantly dumb
Living in the parent’s bas#ment while it’s saving me months
Either told it’s a smart move or you’re just a lazy bum
A story with no part two where the days just begun
Can’t be told to be humble when you’re innately not one
I’ll be paying up front but this is not the blueprint
Don’t have answers to everything but I’ve gotten my two hints
Two choices you really have cuz now it’s either lose win
Ignoring the truth cuz I don’t believe anyone’s too dense
This is coming from a person who’s always been the student
As being the most dumb who couldn’t grasp the notes
But when, I did I gave opportunity to grab the ropes
I’m a fool in many ways trying to come back with some hope
They’re trying to get this many plays through the data it shows
But it’s reaching people’s hearts is what really matters the most

Move one square at a time like pawns on a chess board
The decisions we made on what we thought was best for us
I chose curiosity even though it had less rewards
Won’t be influenced by media like too many are obsess towards
Early exposure to the dark kept me comfortable with the truth
I’d rather be told sooner then from the ones we could lose
& I guess that’s why they’ve been calling it the unspoken rules
It’s that speaking the truth were my lung’s deepest wounds
But that doesn’t mean I don’t wanna lose advocate
Can never be perfect but at least I will always do the practice
This will be the biggest difference from being the average
Life throws you a wrecking ball & we were the bowling pins
The pressure doesn’t get lighter no matter on how grown we get
Just having friends to talk with might be their only wish
Cuz we know an entire crowd doesn’t make up for the loneliness
Could be the child of many but still feel like the only kid

If there is anybody out there, any young guy who is feeling isolated & lonesome
You don’t have to be doomed, you got your whole life ahead of ya
And you might have reason to be bitter and there better paths forward so
